Audit Report

The Audit report is the global activity view for Ordyn.

Open Reporting > Audit.

Use it to investigate administrative, operational, security, configuration, inventory, package, job, and service events across the product.

Audit Table

The table shows:

  • time
  • event title
  • event type
  • category
  • severity
  • visibility
  • actor
  • summary

Use View details on a row to open the event details slideover.

Search And Filters

Use the search field for text search across audit entries.

Open Filters for detailed drilldown:

  • subject
  • category
  • severity
  • visibility
  • event type
  • actor type
  • from date and time
  • to date and time

Selected filters appear as chips above the table. Remove individual chips or use Clear all to reset the view.

The subject filter is searchable and can contain multiple selected subjects. Use it when you want to focus on one or more known resources such as endpoints, jobs, packages, scripts, configuration profiles, OS images, services, or reports.

Event Details

The details slideover can show:

  • overview information
  • involved resources with links when available
  • changed values
  • additional details
  • diagnostics

Changed values show only the changed fields so update events stay readable.

When To Use It

Use the Audit report when the investigation starts from:

  • a user action
  • a time window
  • a service client
  • a changed resource
  • a platform-wide incident

When the investigation starts from a single endpoint, use the endpoint History tab first. See Audit And History for the difference between global audit and endpoint history.
