User Groups

User Groups grant access to users through scoped fixed-role assignments.

Open Administration > User Groups.

Group Details

Each user group has:

• a name
• an optional description
• users assigned to the group
• one or more scoped role assignments

The user group table shows each group, its description, member count, and role assignments. Use search to find groups by name or description.

Scoped Role Assignments

Each assignment combines:

• a fixed role
• a tenant
• optionally, a folder inside that tenant

When a folder is selected, the role applies to that folder and the resources below it. When no folder is selected, the role applies across the selected tenant.

Creating And Editing Groups

The group editor lets administrators:

• set the group name
• set an optional description
• add scoped fixed-role assignments
• select role, tenant, and optional folder for each assignment
• delete assignment rows before saving

The folder selector only shows folders for the selected tenant. Changing the tenant clears an incompatible folder selection.

Deleting a group removes the access users received through that group.

Managing Groups

Use user groups to model real operational responsibilities, for example helpdesk, package managers, OS deployment operators, or auditors.

Keep assignments narrow. Prefer multiple focused groups over one broad group when people need different access in different tenants or folders.
