Hardware Inventory
Hardware Inventory groups endpoint hardware profiles.
Open Inventory > Hardware.
What The Page Shows
The sidebar groups endpoints by shared hardware profile. Each entry shows the detected manufacturer and model where available, virtualization information, motherboard, primary processor, and endpoint count.
Use the sidebar search to find profiles by manufacturer, model, or device type.
Use it to review:
- manufacturer and model information
- hardware profile details
- endpoints that match a hardware profile
Hardware Inventory is useful when planning driver profiles, OS deployments, replacement waves, and model-specific automation.
Detail View
Open a hardware profile to see:
- endpoint count
- virtualization state and provider
- motherboard product name
- primary CPU
- detailed hardware tree
- diagnostics reported with the hardware profile
The Endpoints tab lists endpoints that report the selected profile. Use the endpoint table toolbar to search, filter, sort, choose columns, and refresh the affected endpoint list.
Intel AMT Status
Hardware details include an Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) status badge:
AMT enabledmeans the endpoint reports AMT support and that AMT is enabled.AMT supportedmeans the endpoint reports AMT support, but the enabled state is disabled or unknown.AMT unsupportedmeans the endpoint reports that AMT is not supported.AMT unknownmeans the endpoint did not provide enough information to determine support.
When available, the device overview also shows the AMT enabled state, provisioning state, and firmware version.
System firmware can establish AMT support and provide the firmware version, but it does not establish whether AMT is enabled or provisioned. Enabled and provisioning states remain unknown unless a Windows endpoint exposes that information through its Intel management interface.
Windows endpoints can report Intel AMT inventory from system firmware and the Intel management interface. Linux endpoints report support and firmware version when the required system firmware information is accessible; otherwise, the status remains unknown.
Driver Planning
Hardware profiles help identify model families that need dedicated WinPE driver bundles. Pair this page with Driver Profiles when preparing OS deployment workflows.
