Software Inventory
Software Inventory shows software observed on managed endpoints.
Open Inventory > Software.
What The Page Shows
The sidebar groups installed software by observed name, version, publisher, and architecture. Each sidebar entry shows how many endpoints reported that software.
Use it to answer questions such as:
- which endpoints have a specific application installed
- which versions are present in the fleet
- which publishers are most common
- which software entries are supported by a managed software product
Use the sidebar search to find software by name, version, or publisher.
Detail View
Open an inventory item to inspect:
- software name
- version
- publisher
- architecture
- endpoint count
- first seen and last seen timestamps
- Ordyn package or agent-release match status, when available
When Ordyn can match the inventory entry to an agent release or managed package, the detail view links to the matched release or package and to the latest available release or package where relevant.
The endpoint table shows all endpoints reporting that software. Use the endpoint table toolbar to search, filter, sort, choose columns, and refresh the affected endpoint list.
Update Investigation
Use the match badges to distinguish:
- exact Ordyn match
- Ordyn update available
- inventory newer than Ordyn
- generic Ordyn package match
These signals help decide whether to create or approve packages, update policies, or agent releases.
